How To

Listing and promoting your tournament

Get your event in front of golfers searching nearby — list it free, keep it accurate, and feature it when it matters.

List your event — free

Open the Tournament Center and choose Add a tournament. Only the name is required, but the more you give the better golfers can find you: state, city, ZIP, venue, date, format, your registration link, and a phone or email.

Typing a ZIP fills in the city and state so a listing doesn't land in the wrong place. If you take entries by post rather than online, there's a field for a mailing address — golfers see that instead of a dead Register button.

Submissions are reviewed before they appear. You'll need a free account so you can see yours in My Submissions, where each one shows as pending, approved or rejected. Listing costs nothing, and there is no fee added to your registrations.

Already listed? Fix it rather than re-add it

Many events are in the catalog already — we build it from public sources, so yours may be there before you ever visit. Search your event name first.

If a detail is wrong, use Suggest an edit on the listing: pick the field, give the correct value, and it goes to a moderator. That's faster than adding a duplicate, and it keeps whatever traffic the existing listing has already earned.

Featuring your event

A free listing sits in the normal list. A featured one is pinned above every free listing in its state, with a Sponsored badge and a highlighted row, so it's what golfers see first.

Two tiers, billed by the week:

  • Featured — $10/week. Above the ordinary list.
  • Premium — $25/week. The very top, fewer slots.

Choose 1 to 6 weeks and the form shows the total as you go. If the run would extend past your event date we'll say so — we cap the highlight at the event date, so a shorter run is often all you need.

No payment is taken in the form. Tell us which event and how long, and we email an invoice. You can see every request, what it cost and how long it runs under My Sponsorships.

Getting quotes from courses

If you haven't booked a venue, Course Quotes puts your outing in front of courses near you and they come back with itemized proposals. It's free, and you don't need an account.

You answer one question at a time — what kind of outing, where and how far you'd travel, when, how many golfers, format and per-player budget, and any extras (awards, hole sponsorship, putting contest, photography, transport and so on). Last, where the bids should go.

On submit you get a private tracking link — save it. It opens a page comparing every bid side by side (green fees, carts, food and beverage), where you can shortlist, message a course, and accept one. We email the link too, and if you lose it there's a recover page.

Working out the numbers

Three free planning tools, no account needed. They share one scenario, so a number you change in one carries into the others:

  • Break-even — four numbers in, and it tells you how many golfers cover your fixed costs and what a full field nets.
  • Budget builder — every line of revenue and expense, with the running total updating as you type.
  • Profit optimizer — practical ways to raise net proceeds, each with a dollar range and the effort and risk involved.

Running a bigger event?

A hosted tournament adds a branded event site, online registration, sponsor management and day-of check-in.
