Golf tournament & charity fundraiser software

Host a golf tournament people can actually find

Give your outing a branded registration site, online payments, real sponsor management, and live scoring — then list it free in the tournament catalog golfers already search by ZIP code. Most platforms run your event. We also help fill it.

Listing your tournament is free. Hosted events are one flat cost from $250 — no fees or tip prompts added to your registrants and sponsors.

The part other platforms can't do

Your tournament shouldn't depend on your email list alone.

Tournament software helps you run an event. It does nothing to help golfers discover it. Golf Sync also runs a public catalog of upcoming tournaments that players browse by state, city, and ZIP — so your event is visible to people already looking for something to play in, not just the people you can reach yourself.

Listing is free, whether or not you host with us.

Everything the day actually requires

Built from running real charity events — registration through the Monday-morning sponsor recap.

A branded event website

Your logo, colors, tagline, hero photo, and benefit story on a public URL — the page your registrants and sponsors share, not a generic SaaS form. Set your tax EIN, contact email, and refund policy so they render upfront.

Registration and payments

Take card payments through Stripe, plus check, ACH, invoice, and in-person. Funds go straight to your own Stripe account. Reconcile payments, mark comps, and export everything to CSV for your books.

Sponsors, handled properly

Tiered sponsor cards with a past-sponsor wall, applications into your admin queue, one-click PDF invoices with billing entity and EIN, per-hole logo recognition on player scorecards, and an automated post-event recap PDF for renewals.

Pairings and the tee sheet

Generate the whole tee sheet in one click. Sponsor foursomes stay together, self-grouped parties stay intact, solos fill by handicap, and a shotgun lays out across 18 holes. Print-friendly view for the starter.

Live scoring on tournament day

Scramble, alternate-shot, best ball, and 4-3-2 all score from players' phones to a live leaderboard, with accurate WHS net handicap scoring so a handicapped flight doesn't spark a protest at awards.

Email and volunteers

Email registrants, sponsors, or donors from the console with merge fields and open tracking, CAN-SPAM compliant. Post volunteer shifts that people claim from a public page without an account — replaces SignUpGenius.

One flat cost, paid by you

“Free” platforms aren't free. Your sponsors pay for them.

Most golf fundraising platforms cost the organizer nothing because they recover it at checkout instead — a processing fee added to each registration and sponsorship, or a “tip” prompt shown to your donors while they're paying. It works, and it's legal, and it means the people supporting your cause are quietly funding a software company on top of their gift.

We charge you one flat cost up front. Nothing is added at checkout — no platform fee, no service fee, no tip prompt. A $500 sponsorship arrives as $500.

You set your own player registration prices and keep that revenue. Standard Stripe card-processing fees still apply, as they do anywhere you take a card.

Hosting a golf tournament — FAQ

What software do I need to host a charity golf tournament?

At minimum you need a way to take registrations and payments, organize the field into pairings, and recognize your sponsors. Golf Sync gives your event its own branded registration website, takes card payments online, builds the tee sheet automatically, generates per-sponsor PDF invoices, and runs live scoring on tournament day.

How much does it cost to host a golf tournament on Golf Sync?

Hosted events are one flat cost, starting at $250–$300 for setup, which includes your event's registration and sponsor website, online card payments, a sponsor tier ladder, and day-of check-in. Adding live mobile scoring and a big-screen leaderboard is $400, and the engagement tier with push broadcasts, sponsor PDF invoices, and tiered mulligans is $750+. You set your own player registration prices and keep that revenue. Nothing is added at your registrants' or sponsors' checkout.

Why isn't Golf Sync free like some other golf tournament platforms?

It is paid for — just by you instead of your supporters. Platforms that are free to the organizer typically recover their cost at checkout: a processing or platform fee added to each registration and sponsorship, or an optional 'tip' prompt shown to donors as they pay. That money comes out of gifts intended for your cause. We'd rather charge one flat, predictable cost up front so a $500 sponsorship arrives as $500 and your supporters are never asked to fund the software. Standard Stripe card-processing fees still apply, as they would on any platform.

Are there any fees added at checkout for players or sponsors?

No. There is no platform fee, service fee, or tip prompt added to what your registrants and sponsors pay. Your flat hosting cost is the whole of what you owe us. The only other deduction is the standard Stripe card-processing fee, which applies to any online card payment and goes to Stripe, not to us — and funds settle directly into your own Stripe account.

Can players register and pay online?

Yes. Your public event page takes card payments through Stripe, plus check, ACH, invoice, and in-person options, so players and corporate sponsors can each use the path their accounting team prefers. Funds flow directly to your own Stripe account — we never hold your money.

Does it handle sponsors?

Sponsorship is the part most tools do worst, so it's the part we built out most. You define tiers with prices, included player tickets, and benefit bullets; sponsors apply right from your event page; you generate per-sponsor PDF invoices with billing entity and EIN in one click; sponsor logos appear on players' scorecards at their assigned hole; and after the event each sponsor gets a designed recap PDF showing where their logo ran, with measured impressions — the renewal-pitch artifact you'd otherwise build by hand.

Will anyone find my tournament?

This is where Golf Sync differs from tournament software generally. We also run a public tournament catalog that golfers browse by state, city, and ZIP code. Listing your event there is free — so your tournament is discoverable by players already searching for events near them, not just by the people already on your email list.

Can I use it for a school, church, or Rotary club fundraiser?

Yes. The hosted product is used for charity and foundation events, and nothing about it is specific to a golf club — schools, churches, service clubs, youth sports programs, and corporate outings all run the same way. Your event page carries your logo, colors, benefit story, and tax EIN.

What happens on tournament day?

You open scoring with one tap when the field is ready. Players score from their phones on shared team cards for scramble and alternate-shot, or their own cards for best ball, and the leaderboard updates live for spectators. You can run check-in from an iPad at the registration table, add walk-ups by name in seconds, and print a paper tee sheet for the starter.
