Team programs
For school and club teams: a roster, scheduled rounds, stats that build over a season, and a live board the coach can watch from the cart.
Getting a program set up. We create your team and grant coach access — there's no signup form to fill in. Email support@golfsync.io and we'll take it from there. If your coach has already been set up, they'll give you a join code.
For coaches
Your roster
Add players with just a name — no email required, which means you can add someone who turned up to tryouts without collecting anything about them first. Grad year and squad are optional.
If you already have a list, paste it in rather than typing one at a time. You can manage the roster from the web or from your phone at the course.
Getting players in
Each player joins with a 6-character code you generate for them. They type it into the app once and their phone is linked to your roster from then on.
Codes are single-use and expire after 15 minutes — they're meant to be read out or handed over there and then, not saved for later. If one expires, generate another. The code alphabet leaves out 0, O, 1, I and L, so there's nothing to mistype.
Players don't need a GolfSync account, and we don't ask them for personal details.
Scheduling a round
Set up the round before anyone plays it: pick the real course and tees, the date, and who's playing. Each player then finds their card waiting in the app — nobody has to set anything up on the first tee.
While they play, the live board shows who's started, how many holes they've posted and where they stand. It's on your phone as well as the web, because you won't have a laptop out on the course.
What you can see
Scoring averages, greens in regulation, fairways, putts — per player and across the team, filterable by round type so a qualifying round can be read separately from practice.
Stats only count rounds that were actually finished, so a card someone abandoned after five holes never drags an average down. Where a stat wasn't tracked you'll see that plainly rather than a zero — an untracked putt count and a genuine zero are different things.
You can keep private notes on a player or the whole team. Players never see them. The full comparison view is web-only, since it needs the screen.

Joining your team
Your coach gives you a 6-character code. Open the app, tap Join your team, and type it in — it submits itself once all six are entered.
Use it promptly: codes work once and expire after 15 minutes. If yours has run out, just ask for another.
Playing a round
Rounds your coach has scheduled appear in the app with the course and tees already set. Enter your score hole by hole as you play.
You choose how much detail to record — just strokes, the common stats, or everything including putt distances. It's the same round either way, so record what you have time for.
No signal on the course is fine. Scores save to your phone first and send themselves when you're back in coverage, even if you close the app.
What your teammates see
Nothing that identifies you. If your coach turns on the team view, you see how the squad's scoring averages are spread out and where you sit in that spread — with no names attached to anyone else's number.
That's deliberate. Knowing where you stand is useful; opening the app to a public ranking with your name at the bottom of it is not. Some coaches keep the view off entirely, in which case you'll only see your own stats.
