Golf Sync XP charges you $395 for the event instead and adds nothing to registrations or donations. The one Golf Sync fee at checkout is 1.5% on a sponsorship paid by card or bank, added on top of the tier price, and an event raising money for a charity we've verified doesn't have it.
Golfers can find your event

To be fair to them: passing the fee to registrants is standard across fundraising software, GolfStatus is transparent about it on their own pricing page, and for plenty of events it works fine. Golf Sync XP is $395 an event, any number of tournaments, paid by the organizer, whatever the size of the field. If you'd rather we run it for you, Golf Sync VIP adds $250 for each tournament. Golf Sync XP adds no fee to registrations or donations, and takes no cut of them. Sponsors who pay by card or bank pay a 1.5% Golf Sync fee on top of the tier price, so it never comes out of what they give you. If your event raises money for a 501(c)(3) charity we've verified, sponsors pay no Golf Sync fee either. There's no tip prompt. Standard Stripe card-processing fees still apply on any online card payment, as they would on any platform, and those go to Stripe rather than to us.
Does Golf Sync help people find my tournament?
Yes, and this is the difference that has nothing to do with pricing. Golf Sync runs a public tournament catalog that golfers browse by state, city, and ZIP code, with individual pages for thousands of upcoming events. Listing your tournament there is free whether or not you run it on Golf Sync XP. Tournament software helps you run an event; it generally does nothing to help players discover it.
Can I switch platforms between years?
Yes. Most organizers move between seasons rather than mid-event. You can set up your event page, sponsor tiers, and registration on Golf Sync and export your registrations and sponsors to CSV at any time — your data isn't locked in.
Does Golf Sync do live scoring and sponsor invoices?
Yes, both are part of Golf Sync XP's $395: live scoring on every phone, a real-time leaderboard on the phones and the clubhouse TV, and sponsor invoicing and payment tracking. On GolfStatus's published price list, live scoring on its own is $299 per event and invoicing is $199 per event.
